Altea Mascarat - Benidorm

Altea, located in the spanish region of Valenciea on Spain's "White Coast" is withought a doubt a destination for the more discerning Spanish Property seekers. It is certainly once of the most charming towns to be found in the Costa Blanca.

It Soon becomes obvious why Altea became a "magnet" for artists, writers and musicians from all over Europe in the late 1950's. Although the town has adapted, meeting the demands of modern-day visitors it has done so while managing to retain the "Bohemian Air" that makes this location a secret jewel on the Costa Blanca. With a fantastic selection of small local shops selling local crafts, paintings and traditional goods and exceptional local restaurants serving international and local cuisine every day can be a new experience in Altea.

Atea is a paradise for all types of artist and craftsmen, with shops and stalls scattered throughout the Town Centre, all taking advantage of the peacefulness and tranquility of the location. You will find a wide and varied range of shops, exceptional restaurants and private homes sitting comfortably side by side, the town really is full of character with buildings boasting intricately carved wooden doors and grilles.

Altea Beaches:

There are over 5km of beaches stretched over Altea, divided into sections. North of Altea we have the Cap Negret, then to the South we have La Roda and the Cap Blanc.

Denia - Alicante

Denia is a Spanish town located in the region of Alicante - on the Costa Blanca. Denia is a winderfully cosmopolitan town which has a rich history and oozes culture. the fascinting streets are a showcase of architecture throughout the ages with buildings serving as a permanent monument to the civilisations which have been lucky enough to make their mark here, these include, Carthaginian, Roman, Iberian, Arab and Christuan cultures. Tourism has blended comfortabely with the general hustle-bustle of a working town.

Situated between the two international airports of Valencia and Alicante, both airports are within an hours drive, giving the ultimate access travelling from both North and South whilst remaining at a comfortable distance to ensure that their location does not effect this idealic location.

Denia is so much more than a holiday resort, a busier location than its nearest coastal neighbours of Oliva and Javea, you will find a healthy mix of both English and German visitors and a thriving commercial centre.

You will also find top quality stores, tax consultants, doctors, dentists, the courts of justice, and the areas largest hosptals, this truly is the perfect are for those not wanting to leave anything to chance whilst lapping up the Costa life style.

Denia has a wealth of attractions and culture although Denia's initial growth was as a seafaring town and it's still a working port. The old fishermen's quarter preserves its delightful cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings but nearby you'll find a modern yacht marina and the ferry terminal serving the Balearic Islands of Ibiza, Menorca, Mallorca and Formentera.

Denia's focal point is the beautifull 16th century castle which dominates the town from a height of 58 metres. (see picture at the top of this article). You can park on the outskirts and walk through a tunnel under the castle into the main shopping centre.

The main central street is "Calle Marques de Campo", which is named after the Marquis of Denia who used to reside in the castle. This is a wonderful place to sit and people watch - a Parisian-style tree lined avenue peppered with street cafes on both sides.

Shopping in Denia can only be described as sheer delight. Offering not only a full range of high street essentials but also top of the range clothes shops with designer wear for both men and women and beautiful gift shops specialising in the unusual and exquisite (we're not talking sticks of rock and giant sombreros here!)

A myriad of restaurants offers some of the best regional and international cuisine on the Costa Blanca. There are some great tapas bars, seafood restaurants with a mouth watering selection of produce fresh from local waters, Indonesian, Mexican, Italian and Greek restaurants.

As for the beaches, they stretch for 20 kilometres either side of Denia and consistently win the European Blue Flag for safety and cleanliness.
